About Samantha

Hey! I’m Samantha, I mostly go by Sam. For the past 12+ years I have supported young people (13-25) and adults (25+) on their journeys, witnessing their healing and growth.

I am passionate about empowering others to break cycles, create meaningful relationships and live fulfilling lives. At the heart of my counselling practice lies a deep belief in the power of courage — the courage to face challenges, explore vulnerabilities, and to embrace change.

What Makes me Stand Out:

Those in my personal and professional life have told me that I’m attuned to ask the questions that bring clarity, honesty and that longed for sense of relief.

I am committed to empowering my clients, supporting you to grow in confidence and self-assurance. Together, we will build a strong connection built on trust, empathy and understanding, creating a safe place where your healing can flourish.

Therapeutic Approach

I draw from approaches that research has shown to be effective, including attachment-based, person-centered, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based practices. For clients who wish, I also integrate Christian foundations into our work, honouring faith as a meaningful source of strength and healing.

We all long for connection. Sometimes the ways we’ve learned to relate to others can leave us feeling stuck, lonely, or misunderstood. In our work together, we’ll look at how your relationships have shaped you and discover new ways of being with others. In therapy, I offer a safe and steady relationship where you can explore how your relationships have shaped you and experience the security needed for healing and growth

Attachment Based

I am continually inspired from seeing so many people rise beyond what they thought was possible for themselves. Even in the midst of struggle, I am confident you carry wisdom, abilities, and supports that will move you into a place of healing and hope.

Strengths Based

I offer a warm, non-judgmental space rooted in person-centered counselling, where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. Drawing on Motivational Interviewing, I’ll support you working through ambivalence and connecting with YOUR reasons for change. Together, we move at your pace — honouring your inner wisdom while gently guiding growth and change.

Person-Centered & Motivational Interviewing

I am grounded in a Christian foundation that sees every person as inherently valuable, created for relationships, healing and hope. Whether or not you share this faith, you are deeply respected, and I will meet you with compassion, curiosity, and care as you navigate your reasons for coming to therapy.
