About Jonathan
I believe healing begins when we’re given the time and safety to be honest.
As a therapist, I create a structured and caring space for that honesty — a place to explore the stories, patterns, and wounds that shape how you live and love.
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and trained EMDR therapist, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other experiential approaches to help you safely revisit your story and transform the way old pain shows up today.
You don’t have to keep repeating the same story. Together, we can explore what’s driving your patterns and move toward the stability, connection, and freedom you’ve been longing for.
I bring a structured, grounded, and compassionate presence into the room. My life has been deeply shaped by mentors who gave me time, asked the hard questions, and helped me become a more loving husband, father, and friend. That same kind of patient attention guides my work with clients.

Therapeutic Approach
I am strongly influenced by several approaches that research has shown to be effective: EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy), IFS (internal family systems therapy, and DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy); Most importantly, I look forward to working with you and finding the approach that fits best.
EMDR
EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy that helps people heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. It works by gently guiding you to recall difficult memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds. This process helps the brain reprocess stuck memories, reducing their emotional intensity and allowing you to move forward with a greater sense of calm and clarity.
Internal Family Systems
IFS is a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that views the mind as made up of different “parts,” each with its own feelings, beliefs, and roles. In therapy, you’ll learn to connect with these inner parts and access your core Self—the calm, wise, and compassionate center within you. By understanding and healing your inner system, IFS helps restore harmony, self-acceptance, and emotional balance.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to help people manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build healthier coping skills. It focuses on balancing acceptance and change—learning to accept yourself as you are while making positive shifts in behavior. DBT skills are organized around four key areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Christian Foundations
I am grounded in a Christian foundation that sees every person as inherently valuable, created for relationships, healing and hope. Whether or not you share this faith, you are deeply respected, and I will meet you with compassion, curiosity, and care as you navigate your reasons for coming to therapy.
