About Me
Hey! I’m Samantha, I mostly go by Sam. For the past 12+ years I have supported young people (13-25) and adults (25+) on their journeys towards healing and growth.
I love what I do. I am passionate about empowering others to break cycles, create meaningful relationships and live fulfilling lives. At the heart of my counselling practice lies a deep belief in the power of courage — the courage to face challenges, explore vulnerabilities, and to embrace change.
I am a wife and a mom. Sunny days, and blue skies make me feel good. I enjoy movies, and the feel of a good cry watching a drama. My side quest is to normalize making noise while you work out - you can hear my sighs of stress released while I exercise. I hope my life is continually characterized by meeting new people, and seeing those around me built up and confident.
What Makes me Stand Out:
Those in my personal and professional life have told me that I know how to ask the right question to draw out the thing they were looking for. The thing that brings clarity, honesty and brings that longed for sense of relief.
I am committed to empowering my clients, supporting you to grow in confidence and self-assurance. Together, we will build a strong connection built on trust, empathy and understanding, creating a safe place where healing can flourish. It thrills me to be invited into your journey.
Those I have worked closely with have described me as
“Very relatable”
“Reliable, patient, and determined to see those you support reach their goals”
“Supportive, comfortable, and understanding”
“Someone who wants to talk about the real stuff”
“Empowering.”

Modalities — further explained
Attachment Oriented
As an attachment-oriented therapist, I believe we are inherently social creatures. We will explore how your early relationships shape your patterns for connection and protection. Healing occurs through a safe, consistent relationship where you feel at ease and secure.
Strengths Based
I am continually inspired from seeing so many folks rise beyond what they thought was possible for themselves. Even in the midst of struggle, I am confident you carry wisdom, abilities, and supports that will move you into a place of healing and hope.
Person-Centered & Motivational Interviewing
I offer a warm, non-judgmental space rooted in person-centered counselling, where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. Drawing on Motivational Interviewing, I’ll support you working through ambivalence and connecting with YOUR reasons for change. Together, we move at your pace — honouring your inner wisdom while gently guiding growth and change.
Christian Foundations
I am grounded in a Christian foundation that sees every person as inherently valuable, created for relationships, healing and hope. Whether or not you share this faith, you are deeply respected, and I will meet you with compassion, curiosity, and care as you navigate your reasons for coming to therapy.
